The Department of Water and Meteorology has announced Rain continues to fall across Nepal with thunderstorms and snowfall also expected today.
Nepal’s weather is currently influenced by a combination of local and westerly winds, as well as a low-pressure system near Bihar, India.
As a result, partial to normal changes in weather patterns are expected in hilly areas, including Bagmati and the Far West Province. The rest of the country will experience partial changes.
Light rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds are currently affecting a few locations in Gandaki Province, and a couple of places in Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
For this afternoon, the forecast predicts partial to mostly cloudy conditions across the country. There is a chance of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds, in some hilly areas and a few places in the plains. Additionally, light snowfall is anticipated in a few high hills and Himalayan regions.
Tonight, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali regions can expect partly to mostly cloudy skies over hilly areas. The remaining parts of the country will experience partly cloudy to mainly clear weather. There is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms in some hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini, including the Koshi region.
