The teams comprising Anganwadi staff and the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) of the Women Development and Child Welfare (WD&CW) Department are issuing QR-code tags to children visiting Indrakeeladri for the ongoing Dasara Navaratri Utsavams in Vijayawada. The move aims to use technology to easily trace missing children during the festivities.

“The Anganwadi ayahs and ICPS staff, deployed atop Indrakeeladri, have tagged about 17,000 children with QR codes over the first two days. The tags have yielded positive results,” said District Collector G. Lakshmisha, who interacted with the devotees.
