Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani landed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu today on his Airbus A-340-541 jet at 3:15 PM, marking the beginning of a two-day diplomatic visit. Accompanied by a select delegation, including key aides and advisors, his visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties between Qatar and Nepal.

On Tuesday, he is scheduled to meet with President Paudel at Sheetal Niwas. After that, the President Will host a dinner for him at Solti Hotel.

On the second day of the visit, he will return to Qatar in the afternoon after holding a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.

The Emir’s arrival was met with tight security measures, reflecting the significance of the visit and the commitment to ensuring his safety. Upon touchdown, he was greeted by Nepal’s President Ram Chandra Paudel, officials and dignitaries, signifying the warm reception extended by the Nepalese government.

The visit holds promise for collaboration in various sectors, including trade, investment, and cultural exchange. Nepal seeks to leverage the opportunity to showcase its rich cultural heritage and explore avenues for cooperation.

As the Emir’s convoy traverses the streets of Kathmandu, escorted by a ceremonial guard of honor, the city resonates with an atmosphere of camaraderie and diplomatic fervor.
