Armed Police Force Nepal seized 164kg of cannabis during a raid on a boat smuggling operation in the Saptakoshi River, Sunsari. The incident occurred Tuesday night in the Barahakshetra Municipality-1 area.
DSP Shailendra Thapa reported that the suspects were seen offloading the cannabis but fled the scene. The seized drugs have been handed over to the Mahendranagar Chakraghatti police for further investigation.
This seizure is part of a larger crackdown by Armed Police Force Nepal No. 4 Group, who have recovered over 564kg of cannabis and an ambulance since February 13th.
