ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s former Wapda distribution companies have sought regulatory approval to recover an additional Rs2.5624 per unit from consumers in their November 2026 electricity bills, after the actual fuel cost of electricity supplied to the distribution system rose to Rs10.022 per unit in September.
The Central Power Purchasing Agency-Guarantee (CPPA-G), on behalf of the ex-Wapda distribution companies (XWDiscos), has asked the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) to approve a fuel charges adjustment (FCA) for September.
Under the request, the reference fuel cost was Rs7.4596 per unit, compared with an actual cost of Rs10.022 per unit.
