A new concrete bridge spanning the Trishuli River now connects the Devghat Rural Municipality of Tanahun and the Bharatpur Metropolitan City of Chitwan. The bridge, constructed for 21 crore 68 lakhs and 48 thousand rupees, is now operational.
Til Bahadur Thapa, Chairman of Devghat Rural Municipality, confirmed the bridge’s opening but noted that a formal inauguration is still pending.
Tanknath Paudel, President of the Bridge Construction Consumer Committee, stated that a formal request will be made to President Ramchandra Paudel to inaugurate the bridge on Saturday, the 17th of Chait. Security chiefs and chief district officers of Tanahun and Chitwan will meet today to discuss the inauguration plans.
Construction of this bridge began on Kartik 20th, 2071.
