Dadhiraj Subedi, a prominent literary figure and critic in Biratnagar, passed away at age 78. He had been battling cancer and died on Wednesday at 3 am.
Subedi leaves behind an impressive literary legacy, including works such as “Morang’s Literary History,” “Nepali sahitya ka muskanharu,” “Swandarya kabita sangraha,” and “Aviral Yatra.” He was a prolific critic, offering insightful commentary on numerous works.
Beyond his literary contributions, Subedi was a respected social leader within the Biratnagar community. Writer Minkumar Navodit expressed the city’s deep sense of loss, stating, “Biratnagar has lost a leader in the literary, social, cultural, and religious fields.”
On Wednesday, Subedi’s final rites will be performed at Paropakar Ghat in Biratnagar.
