Nepse Index Falls by 13.82 Points, Trading Volume Reaches Rs 4.62 Billion

Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index fell by 13.82 points to close at 2,654.15 points on Thursday, with a total trading volume of Rs 4.62 billion.

A total of 347 companies’ shares were traded, with 1.08 million shares changing hands through 60,381 transactions. The sensitive index also fell by 2.62 points to close at 464.73 points.

Out of the 13 groups traded, only the commercial group’s sub-index rose by 0.59 percent, while the rest fell. The hydropower group’s sub-index fell by 0.38 percent, followed by the manufacturing and processing group, which fell by 0.88 percent.

Upper Lohorekhola Hydropower Company Limited’s shareholders made a profit of 15 percent, while LS Horizon 12’s shareholders lost 6.50 percent. Ridi Power Company Limited was the top traded company in terms of both trading volume and number of shares traded, with a total trading volume of Rs 472.46 million and 1.21 million shares traded.
