Nepal’s Communist Party to Go Fully Digital with Membership System

Nepal’s Communist Party (CPN-UML) has decided to fully digitize its membership system. The decision was announced during a workshop on membership organized by the party’s Bagmati Province Committee at the party’s headquarters in Chyasal on Wednesday.

The move is part of the party’s ‘Mission Party Jagaran’ campaign, which aims to establish a relationship with the public and make the organization more dynamic at the grassroots level. The party’s secretary, Dr. Rajan Bhattarai, said that the digital system would be used extensively to promote the party’s activities, organizational status, information, reports, and public relations.

‘We will encourage party members to use digital media to move forward with party activities, especially in terms of party details, organizational status, information, reports, and public relations,’ Dr. Bhattarai said.

The party leadership has also decided to conduct training programs at the ward and municipal levels to enhance the political awareness and capacity of leaders and cadres. Party secretary Bhannubhakta Dhakal said that digitizing membership and other documents was necessary to protect them from natural disasters and other risks and to make work more efficient.
