Nepali Congress has formed a strategic task force for disaster management. The announcement was made by Vice-President Bishwa Prakash Sharma during the closing ceremony of a three-day preparation and response training held at the party office in Sanepa.

The task force consists of 40 young participants who took part in the training. Sharma, who is also the head of the party’s Central Policy, Research and Training Institute, stated that this three-day training marks the beginning of a long journey to save lives during disasters.

Sharma emphasized that the party aims to produce 1,000 skilled personnel across the country to tackle disasters. He also reiterated the party’s commitment to supporting those affected by disasters and contributing to the betterment of society and the nation.

The training was conducted by experts who have worked with the United Nations and the International Red Cross. The participants were equipped with the necessary skills to respond effectively during disasters.
