A national convention of the establishment faction of the Nepali Congress is underway in Kathmandu. Initially, the event was called a national gathering, but it was later converted into a convention due to the low attendance of delegates.

According to Meen Vishwakarma, head of the publicity subcommittee, the event was converted into a convention as it was unable to pass policy issues as a gathering.

On the final day of the convention, the faction will discuss and finalize several key documents, including the political report of former Vice-President Nidhi, the contemporary political report of leader NP Saud, the economic perspective of Prakash Sharan Mahat, the organizational proposal of Uma Kanta Chaudhary, and the constitutional amendment proposal of Ramesh Lekhak.

After the group discussions and suggestions, the convention’s declaration will be made public, and the event will be concluded.
