Cyclist Killed in Tipper Truck Accident in Jhapa

A 65-year-old cyclist, Ishnalal Ganesh, was killed in a tipper truck accident in Jhapa on Saturday evening.

According to the District Police Office, the incident occurred in Jhapa Gaunpalika-3, where the tipper truck collided with Ganesh’s bicycle.

Ganesh, who was seriously injured in the accident, died later that night at B&C Hospital in Biratnagar.

The tipper truck driver, 36-year-old Phagulal Rajbanshi, from Jhapa Gaunpalika-3, Kamatol, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Following Ganesh’s death, local residents, who were outraged by the incident, vandalized the tipper truck.
