Kathmandu, Nepal – The Weather Forecasting Division has warned about mixed weather conditions across Nepal due to the influence of a western low-pressure system and another low-pressure system located in North East Assam and surrounding areas in India.
The country is experiencing partial to general cloud cover, with light rainfall in some parts of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. This afternoon, the forecast calls for partly to mostly cloudy conditions in hilly areas.
Scattered light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in select areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, potentially spreading to other hilly regions. Additionally, isolated light snowfall is possible in the high hills and Himalayan zones of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
Tonight, Koshi Province can expect partly to mostly cloudy conditions with a chance of isolated light rain, thunder, and lightning in hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Light snowfall is also possible in a few areas of the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
