Dhanusha, Nepal – A tragic motorcycle accident in Dhanusha district has claimed the life of a young man and left another seriously injured. The collision occurred when a speeding ambulance collided with the motorcycle.
The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Jite Mahato of Hariharpur-3, Mithila Municipality. His riding companion, 25-year-old Saroj Kumar Mahato, sustained severe injuries and has been referred to another hospital for further treatment.
The accident took place on Monday evening at approximately 6:30 pm on the Janakpur Dhalkebar road section in Naktajhij, Mithila Municipality-2. Eyewitnesses report that both the ambulance and motorcycle were traveling at high speeds.
DSP Ranjan Awa, Dhanusha Police Spokesperson, confirmed that Jite Mahato was pronounced dead at Janakpur Provincial Hospital during treatment. The ambulance driver has absconded, and police are actively searching for the individual.
