The Nepali national football team will play its home match against Bahrain in Bahrain as part of the joint qualification for the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup. This change comes after Nepal was unable to host the match at Dashrath Rangshala Stadium in Nepal.

The match was originally scheduled for Chait 8th (Nepali calendar). An away match in Bahrain remains scheduled for Chait 13th. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has confirmed the relocation of the home match, with an official announcement pending.

Nepal is in Group H for the second round of qualification. The team has previously played against UAE and Yemen, with the Yemen match hosted in Nepal. Nepal will now play both of its upcoming matches against Bahrain in Bahrain, followed by matches against UAE and Yemen in June.
