Nepal’s hopes of qualifying for the ACC Emerging Teams T20 Asia Cup were dashed recently after a 4-wicket defeat to Hong Kong in the third-place match of the ACC Premier Cup 2024. The loss to Hong Kong followed a semifinal defeat against the UAE, leaving Nepal out of contention for the Asia Cup tournament.

Despite the recent setback, Nepal now turns its attention to a highly anticipated home series against West Indies A. The five-match T20 series offers crucial preparation for Nepal ahead of their second T20 World Cup appearance.

Historic Series Provides Opportunity

This marks the first visit of any West Indies team to Nepal, underscoring the significance of the occasion. For Nepal, it’s a chance to gain valuable experience against a strong Test-playing nation. The Windies, meanwhile, will use the series to assess players outside their Indian Premier League (IPL) contingent as they build for the T20 World Cup.
