Nepal’s Department of Health Services has received a shipment of vaccines for treating snake bites and rabies.
According to Dr. Anuj Bhattachan, Director General of the Department of Health Services, the vaccines were received through a regular procurement process.
On Thursday, 8,200 vials of snake bite vaccine and 17,600 vials of rabies immunoglobulin (ERIG) were delivered to the Central Vaccine Store.
Dr. Bhattachan stated that the vaccines will be distributed to health institutions across the country through the seven provincial health supply centers after completing the necessary procedures.
