Nepal bowlers have asserted their dominance in a match against Hong Kong of the ACC Premier Cup 2024 against Hong Kong. After losing the toss and being forced to field, Nepal restricted Hong Kong to a mere 70 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the first 10 overs. Aizaz Khan (4) and Yasim Murtaza (1) currently hold the crease for Hong Kong.

Spinner Lalit Rajbanshi delivered a crucial breakthrough in the 10th over, dismissing Babar Hayat for 6 runs with a caught-and-bowled. This adds to Nepal’s impressive early success, having already taken out key Hong Kong batters.

The fielding unit also shone, with a missed catch by Gulshan Jha in the second over quickly compensated for by Karan’s wicket in the next, caught by Aasif Sheikh for 8 runs. Dipendra Singh Airee and Gulshan Jha followed up with outstanding direct throws, resulting in run-outs for Nizakat Khan (12) and Anshuman Rath (34) respectively.
