Nepal 'A' Seeks Redemption

Following a loss in Friday’s opening T20 match, Nepal ‘A’ is determined to turn things around in today’s second showdown against Ireland ‘A’. The highly anticipated match kicks off at 1 pm at Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Despite a standout century from Lokesh Bam, Nepal suffered a defeat on home ground in the first encounter. They fell short of Ireland ‘A’s target, all-out for 201 runs in 19.3 overs. Bam’s impressive 106 runs, including 9 fours and 8 sixes, weren’t enough to secure the win.

Nepal’s hopes of building on Bam’s momentum were dashed as other batsmen struggled to contribute significantly. Captain Binod Bhandari added 16 runs, but the rest of the lineup failed to reach double digits.

Kamal Airee, returning after a two-year injury absence, provided a bright spot for Nepal, taking three wickets and helping build early momentum.

The upcomingseries features three T20 matches and three one-dayers. Nepal, eager to bounce back after their opening loss, will be looking to level the playing field in the remaining fixtures.

The one-day series begins April 3rd, with the final match scheduled for March 7th at Kirtipur Ground.

Ireland ‘A’ has previously played two T20 series against Nepal’s national team, making them a tough opponent. Nepal, however, remains confident in its ability to deliver strong performances and reclaim victory.
