Even though Nancy has gone missing since February 1, eight months have passed and the authorities have not identified any suspect yet. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating another case of death in Vail, Arizona.
Nancy Guthrie Case Latest Update: Pima County Investigates Vail Death
On October 9, deputies were called out for a domestic dispute that occurred around 6:30 p.m. at a house on the 17000 South Ridgerunner Drive in Vail. The man arrested by the deputies was identified as 49 years old and he was taken into custody without any resistance within the house, the deputies discovered a woman who had died as a result of a shooting.
Her name was not released as she is yet to be identified and there were two children aged three and four inside the house and they were said to be safe.

“On October 9, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Pima County Sheriff’s Department deputies assigned to the Vail District responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 17000 block of South Ridgerunner Drive,” the statement explains.
“Upon arrival, deputies encountered a man exiting the residence and detained him without incident,” it adds. “Inside the residence, deputies located a woman deceased with an apparent gunshot wound. The woman’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.”
The statement adds that, thankfully, “two children, ages 3 and 4, were also located inside the residence and were unharmed.”
Nancy Guthrie Case Latest Update: What We Know
Guthrie was last seen on January 31 at her Tucson residence after attending a family event. Nancy Guthrie was said to be missing the next day after she did not join an online worship session of the church.
