Reigns opened the event with a successful defence of the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight. Knight came close to winning after avoiding a Spear and sending Reigns into the ring post. Reigns landed a final Spear to retain the title. After the match, members of The 946 appeared in the crowd, prompting a confrontation with The Usos and Solo Sikoa. The ensuing brawl moved through the arena and into the parking lot, where Jaida Parker drove away with The 946.
