Nepal is currently under the influence of multiple weather systems, including westerly winds, localized winds, and a low-pressure area centered around Bihar. This is leading to mixed weather conditions across the country, reports the Weather Forecasting Division.
The hilly regions of Nepal are experiencing generally clear skies, while other areas are seeing partly cloudy conditions.
The hilly areas are expected to remain partly to mostly clear throughout the afternoon. However, there is a chance of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few locations within the hilly areas of Koshi Province and a couple of places within the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces.
Higher elevations may see rain and snowfall, with a couple of places in the high hilly, and mountainous areas likely to receive snowfall.
At night, the hilly regions will see partly to mostly clear skies. The rest of the country will also experience partly to mostly clear conditions. Isolated light rain with thunder and lightning remains a possibility in the hilly areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces.
