The Manakamana cable car service will be temporarily closed on March 20th for routine maintenance. Manakamana Darshan Pvt Ltd has made the announcement, and Deputy General Manager Ujjwal Sherchan confirmed that regular operations will resume on March 21st.
The Manakamana cable car service provides a 10-minute journey to the Manakamana Temple in Gorkha district from Kurintar in Ichchhakamana-4, Chitwan district. It is Nepal’s first cable car service.
