A 28-year-old individual identified as Chandra Bahadur Karki from Barahatal Rural Municipality 2 in Surkhet, found himself in custody after being apprehended with a tiger skin in Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city. The arrest took place on Wednesday afternoon at a hotel situated at 2 Puspalal Chowk.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Narayan Dangi, serving as the Information Officer of the District Police Office, disclosed that Karki was seized from room 101 on the third floor of the Royal Mahabub Hotel at Puspalal Chowk, where he was found in possession of a tiger skin measuring 5 feet 9 inches in length and 3 feet 2 inches in width.
A team dispatched from the district police office conducted a thorough search, leading to the recovery of the tiger skin concealed in a black bag within the confines of the hotel room where Karki had hidden it.
