On Saturday, police detained Birendra Kumar Jaiswal, a 56-year-old resident of Gaur municipality-1, in possession of Rs. 11,15,700 in cash at Gaur, the administrative center of Rautahat district. DSP Aliza Giri, spokesperson for the District Police Office in Gaur, reported that Jaiswal was apprehended while riding his bicycle near Gaurbazar.
The confiscated cash included 1100 notes of Rs. 1000 denomination, 30 notes of Rs. 500, and 7 notes of Rs. 100. Following his arrest, Jaiswal was transferred to the District Customs Office in Gaur for further legal proceedings.
