Chitwan police have arrested 23-year-old Lok Bahadur Chepang on charges of fatally beating his uncle, 42-year-old Chandra Bahadur Chepang. The incident occurred in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-1, Hattibang Kaule Jyandala.
According to DSP Sriram Bhandari, spokesperson for the Chitwan District Police Office, both men had been drinking homemade liquor on Monday evening. An altercation ensued, leading to the alleged beating. Chandra Bahadur was brought home by his wife but died later that night at 9 pm.
Police arrested Lok Bahadur Chepang on Tuesday. The Chitwan District Court has extended the deadline for the investigation while the case proceeds.
