Rupandehi police have arrested Prabhunath Tharu, a 29-year-old resident of Siyari Rural Municipality, for his alleged involvement in the beating death of a 70-year-old woman.
The victim was attacked on Tuesday while sleeping in her own home. Police apprehended Tharu at his residence after the incident.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Manohar Bhatta, confirmed the arrest and stated that the District Court Rupandehi has granted a 10-day extension for further investigation into the case.
