San Bahadur Pun, a 40-year-old resident of Barakhutti, Dang Rapti Rural Municipality-2, lost his life in a drowning accident on Saturday evening. The incident occurred near Badidmar, Sitganga Municipality-8, while Pun was fishing in the Rapti River.
According to the Bhaluwang Area Police Office, Pun went missing after falling into the river. Ram Bahadur Gharti, Pun’s brother-in-law, stated that his body was found approximately 50 meters downstream.
Pun’s body has been transported to Lamahi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
