Nepal vs Malaysia: Nepal faces Malaysia in a live friendly match as they prepare for crucial World Cup qualifiers against Bahrain.
The Nepali national men’s football team is currently engaged in a friendly match against Malaysia at the Stadium UiTM in Shah Alam. The match, which kicked off at 7:45 PM Nepali time, is part of Nepal’s preparation for their upcoming FIFA World Cup and Asian Cup joint qualifiers against Bahrain.
The match is being held behind closed doors, with no spectators allowed into the stadium, according to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). Additionally, ANFA has stated that there will be no live broadcast of the match.
The Nepali team features a mix of experienced veterans and newcomers. Six new players have been included in the squad, while Bharat Khawas has made a comeback to the team. The changes come after several players, including Ayush Ghalan and goalkeeper Deep Karki, declined to participate in closed training.
Following the friendly against Malaysia, the Nepali team will travel to Bahrain for their crucial qualifying matches on March 21st and March 26th. Due to the ongoing renovations of Dashrath Stadium in Nepal, both matches of the home-and-away series will take place in Bahrain.
