Police in Kathmandu have arrested 21-year-old Rupendra Lama in connection with the murder of 19-year-old Sushma Lama. The Valley Crime Investigation Office was arrested after Susma’s body was discovered buried in Shivapuri National Park on March 8th.
Susma, the daughter of Lucchi Tamang, had been missing since February 5th. Her family filed a missing person report on February 8th after she failed to return home from college. Residents and police had been involved in the search for Sushma.
The investigation gained momentum after Sushma’s body was found and identified. Police have arrested Rupendra Lama as a suspect in her murder.
