A 27-year-old Indian man named Ranjit Kumar Baitha has been arrested in Sarlahi, Nepal, in connection with the murder of another Indian man, 23-year-old Abhishek Raj. Raj’s headless body was found in July 2023 under the Lakhandehi Bridge in Sarlahi’s Hariwan Municipality.
Baitha, a resident of Bihar State in India, had been on the run since the murder. Sarlahi police spokesperson, DSP Deepak Shrestha, confirmed the arrest. Baitha was apprehended on April 16th while attending a festival in Malangwa Municipality, Sarlahi.
