Elvish Yadav, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT, has reportedly confessed to orchestrating the presence of snakes and snake venom at rave parties he organized, according to police sources.
Yadav, 26, who was apprehended in connection with the snake venom case, allegedly disclosed during interrogation that he was acquainted with other individuals previously arrested for supplying snake venom. Despite initially denying involvement, Yadav admitted to encountering the accused at various rave gatherings and maintaining communication with them, as per sources familiar with the investigation.
Following his arrest, Yadav was placed in 14-day judicial custody. In addition to facing charges under the Wildlife Act, he now confronts allegations under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The invocation of Section 29 of this legislation, which addresses drug-related conspiracies such as procurement and distribution, signifies the seriousness of the accusations against him. Securing bail under this provision is notoriously challenging.
Furthermore, Yadav is implicated in allegations of incorporating snakes into his video productions. He previously claimed that the snakes featured in his content were provided by Bollywood singer Fazilpuria, according to sources.
The police’s crackdown on this matter began with the arrest of five individuals following a raid at a banquet hall in Noida. Among those apprehended were four snake charmers, and authorities seized nine snakes along with snake venom during the operation.
The raid was prompted by a complaint from an NGO member who, acting undercover, solicited snake venom from Yadav. Subsequently, the NGO member was directed to the five suspects, as stated by law enforcement officials.
