A tragic accident in Dang claimed the lives of two individuals when an autorickshaw and a motorcycle collided.
The deceased have been identified as:
- Rajesh Bhandari, 30 years old, from Babai Rural Municipality-4, who was riding the motorcycle.
- Sakar KC, 31 years old, also from Babai Rural Municipality-4, was a passenger on the motorcycle.
According to Thakur Pokhrel, Deputy Superintendent of Police at Tulsipur Area Police Office, both Bhandari and KC succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment.
The accident occurred when an autorickshaw (RA 1 HA 4096) driven by Rudra Bahadur Thapa (43 years old, from Dang Shantinagar-7 Khaireni) collided with a motorcycle (RA 7 PA 250) traveling in the opposite direction. Rajesh Bhandari drove the bike.
Thapa, the auto-rickshaw driver, was severely injured in the accident and is currently receiving treatment in Nepalgunj.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
