From clear skies to thunderstorms and mountain snow, Nepal sees diverse weather due to western and local winds weather forecast for today.
The Weather Forecast Division of Nepal’s Department of Water and Meteorology reports mixed weather conditions across the country due to the partial influence of western and local winds.
Currently, most of Nepal experiences clear skies. However, the hilly areas are witnessing partly cloudy conditions. This afternoon, the hilly regions, including Koshi Province, will see mostly clear weather with some cloudiness, while the rest of the country will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear.
The forecast anticipates a chance of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few areas within Koshi Province and isolated locations within the remaining hilly regions. Light snowfall is possible in one or two places within the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces. Additionally, the division warns of potential storms in a few areas of the Terai region of Lumbini Province.
Tonight, the weather is expected to be mostly clear across Nepal’s hilly regions, with similar conditions throughout the rest of the country.
