Denmark midfielder Christian Norgaard has left Arsenal to join Everton on a two-year deal.
According to media reports, Everton spent around £7 million to secure the 32-year-old’s transfer.
Norgaard expressed his admiration for Everton’s direction under manager David Moyes, stating that the team is moving in the right direction.
Everton announced the signing on Ashar 21, but did not disclose the transfer fee.
Norgaard joined Arsenal from Brentford last year for £15 million but struggled to secure a regular starting spot, playing only seven Premier League games.
He was a member of the Arsenal team that won the Premier League title last season, ending a 22-year wait.
Everton has also signed Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough and young winger Tyrique George from Chelsea during this transfer window.
Norgaard previously spent six years at Brentford, playing 196 games and serving as team captain.
Everton will begin their new Premier League season on August 22 with a home game against Crystal Palace.
