A 6-year-old child, Arambh Chhetri, tragically died in a car accident in Koldanda, Arghakhanchi Panini rural municipality-8. Seven others were seriously injured in the devastating crash.
The accident occurred on the Ghumti-Palpa road section when a speeding car (GA 3 CHA 4574) traveling from Arghakhanchi to Pokhara lost control and plunged 200 meters down a slope. The 6-year-old passed away during treatment at Arghakhanchi Hospital.
The injured include:
- Driver Ishwari Chhetri (34) and his wife, Samjhana (30)
- Their son, Evans
- Sabita Adhikari (30), Prajol Kandel (15), Gita Kandel (42), and Jason Basnet (10), all from Pokhara.
All injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at Arghakhanchi Hospital. Police Inspector Dipendra Rawal has stated an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
