The CBSE will conduct Class 12 board exams in West Asian countries from October 23-28 for candidates who were dissatisfied with their marks as per the special assessment scheme, which was developed due to exam cancellation in view of the prevailing war situation, officials said on Monday (October 12, 2026).

CBSE had cancelled the Class 12 board examinations in seven West Asian — Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE — for 40 subjects, including 20 academic papers, according to examination controller Sanyam Bhardwaj.

The CBSE notified an assessment scheme on March 27 for the preparation of results for affected candidates. Accordingly, results for all regular candidates from West Asian countries were declared on May 13, along with those of other Class 12 candidates in India and abroad.
