Brentford Football Club has finalized the signing of Spanish left-back Sergio Reguilon on loan from Tottenham Hotspur until the conclusion of the current season, announced the Premier League club today.
Reguilon, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Manchester United, making a notable 12 appearances under the management of Erik ten Hag, will now bring his skills to Brentford. The move comes as a strategic step for Brentford, aiming to reinforce their defensive lineup.
The left-back is set to provide crucial cover for Brentford manager Frank, especially in the absence of Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey, both currently sidelined due to injuries.
With a wealth of experience in the Premier League, Reguilon has accumulated 61 appearances for both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United since his arrival in 2020 from Real Madrid. Reguilon, aged 27, has not only made a mark at the club level but has also been a noteworthy presence on the international stage. Having made his debut for Spain in 2020, he showcased his versatility by registering an assist in a convincing 4-0 victory over Ukraine in the UEFA Nations League. Since then, the defender has earned five additional caps for his country.
