The District Administration Office in Parsa has imposed an indefinite curfew in specific areas of Birgunj Metropolitan City starting at 5 pm today. The affected region borders Bara to the east, Nagwa Chowk to the west, Tilawe Bridge to the north, Parwanipur to the north, and Miteri Bridge Customs to the south.

The curfew was issued in response to a demonstration regarding a land dispute in Motipur, Rautahat. The protest, held in Birgunj on Monday, escalated into violent clashes. Chief District Officer Dinesh Sagar Bhusal released a statement indicating the curfew was necessary to restore order.
