A shocking incident has occurred in Kohalpur Municipality Ward No. 14, Banke, where a 22-year-old man, Anil Bika, has confessed to killing his 21-year-old wife, Sushila Sunar, with a sharp weapon.
The fatal dispute erupted after the husband spent money that his wife had kept hidden. Acting Chief Police Inspector of Kohalpur Police, Devraj Bhattarai confirmed that the couple, originally from Bardiya, were residing in Parbatipur, Kohalpur.
Sushila, critically injured in the attack, was rushed to Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur but tragically succumbed to her injuries.
“The incident occurred at 9:30 last night. Despite being taken to the hospital, her life could not be saved,” Inspector Bhattarai stated. “We are currently investigating the circumstances and any potential evidence within their residence.”
Police have indicated that the murder weapon was recovered from the scene, located in an industrial workers’ housing area.
