In a crucial Group ‘D’ encounter at the ICC T20 World Cup, Bangladesh emerged victorious against the Netherlands by 25 runs, significantly bolstering their chances of advancing to the Super 8 stage of the tournament. The match took place at the Arnos Vale Stadium, where the Netherlands won the toss and opted to bowl first. Bangladesh posted a competitive total of 159 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs. The standout performer for Bangladesh was Shakib Al Hasan, who played a pivotal role in both batting and bowling. Shakib scored an unbeaten 64 off 46 balls, anchoring the innings and guiding his team to a formidable score. He was well supported by Tanzid Hasan, who contributed a brisk 35 off 26 deliveries, and Mahmudullah, who added 25 off 21 balls.
