Prakat Pangeni ‘Shiva’, a renowned writer and lyricist from Pokhara, has passed away. He had been receiving treatment for pneumonia and related health complications at Manipal Teaching Hospital. His relative, Prajwal Pangeni, confirmed his passing on Tuesday afternoon.
During Pangeni’s treatment, a financial collection campaign was initiated under the leadership of the Pokhreli Youth Cultural Family to support his care. He was the author of several published collections of poems and ghazals, and his song ‘Tagaro Chheu Aayera pani Aagani Tekinau’ holds a special place in the hearts of many. Recently, Pageni relocated to Rupa Rural Municipality to pursue farming and cottage industries.
