A group of women at Kadampuzha in Malappuram district have turned their newly acquired skills into work and income, with two ventures taking them into areas traditionally dominated by men.

‘She Tech’ and ‘She Kootu’, launched on October 1, 2026, by the Raghunathan Master Cultural Studies and Research Centre at Kadampuzha, aim to help women gain employment, start their own ventures and achieve financial independence.

She Tech focuses on technical skills. Women trained under the programme can repair household appliances such as fans, mixers and irons, and make LED bulbs. They have now started collecting faulty appliances from homes and institutions and repairing them.
