A 70-year-old woman, Lakshmi Tamang, has tragically passed away after being struck by a motorcycle in Kathmandu’s Soltimode area. The incident occurred on Saturday at 8:30 AM when Ms. Tamang, a resident of Kalimati with origins in Dhading, was walking.
The motorcycle involved (number Ba 85 Pa 7167) caused serious injuries to Ms. Tamang. Despite being rushed to the trauma center for treatment, she succumbed to her injuries at 11:30 PM the same day.
The motorcyclist responsible for the collision is currently in police custody.
