William Saliba’s absence from Arsenal’s official 2026-27 team photo sparked concern among supporters, but the club has clarified the reason behind his omission. The French defender missed the photoshoot, which took place on October 14, due to a medical appointment.
The timing sparked speculation as Saliba has been recovering from a back injury that has kept him out of action this season. Arsenal, however, did not announce a fresh injury setback.
Why Was William Saliba Missing From Arsenal’s Team Photo?
Arsenal FC released their official first-team squad photograph with manager Mikel Arteta and the players posing alongside the club’s trophies. Saliba, one of the team’s key centre-backs, was not part of the group picture.
