Kathmandu. The Kalimati Fruit and Vegetable Market Development Committee has set the maximum wholesale prices for agricultural products for today.

According to the committee, the wholesale prices for various fruits and vegetables have been fixed. The price of large Nepali eggplants is set at Rs 60 per kilogram, while large Indian eggplants cost Rs 70 per kilogram.

The price of small tunnel eggplants is Rs 38 per kilogram, while red potatoes cost between Rs 51 and Rs 52 per kilogram, depending on the variety. White potatoes cost Rs 35 per kilogram, and dried onions from India cost Rs 57 per kilogram.

Other wholesale prices include Rs 120 per kilogram for local carrots, Rs 80 per kilogram for tarai carrots, Rs 40 per kilogram for local cauliflower, and Rs 100 per kilogram for local cabbage.

The committee has also set prices for various other fruits and vegetables, including Rs 150 per kilogram for rayo sag, Rs 250 per kilogram for palungo, and Rs 120 per kilogram for toriko sag.

Prices for fruits such as bananas, apples, and oranges have also been set, ranging from Rs 220 to Rs 1,000 per kilogram.

The wholesale prices for fish and meat have also been fixed, with prices ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 1,000 per kilogram.
