Iran’s IRGC has threatened to punish vessels that “fall for the deception of the American aggressors” even outside the Strait of Hormuz.
“From now on, dealing with offending vessels will not be limited to the Strait of Hormuz, and any vessel that passes through an unauthorised passage will be pursued throughout the region, and its punishment will be definitive,” the IRGC said in a statement reported by Tasnim.

Iran’s president says the success of talks with Washington depends on them being conducted without “pressure and threats”.
Speaking at the summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Turkmenistan, Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran wants “cooperation instead of wearisome competition, mutual interdependence instead of unilateral dependence and security based on trust and shared interests, rather than on threats”, according to Iran’s Fars news agency.
The president emphasised the importance of multilateralism instead of independence, and promised that the region can become “a network of energy production, transmission and exchange, rather than competing to eliminate each other from the energy market”.
“The countries of this important and strategic region must be among the key players in shaping a multipolar world,” Pezeshkian added.
