Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Iran’s nuclear ambitions and development of long-range missiles extend beyond Israel, warning that the United States and Europe could also face a threat. Netanyahu credited US President Donald Trump’s military and economic pressure campaign against Tehran, saying it could help counter the threat. His remarks come amid continuing tensions over Iran’s nuclear programme, missile capabilities and the wider conflict in West Asia.

Netanyahu said Iran’s hostility towards Israel and the United States reflected its broader strategic ambitions. He claimed Tehran could threaten American cities if it acquired nuclear weapons and developed the ability to deliver them over long distances. The Israeli prime minister also referred to Iran’s ideological descriptions of the US as the “great Satan” and Israel as the “little Satan”, while making a separate remark about European countries.
