US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: Saudi Arabia faced fresh concern over aviation safety on Sunday, October 11, after an unidentified projectile struck Terminal 4 at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and caused a fire. The incident came less than a day after a deadly attack at the airport that killed 12 people and injured hundreds, according to Saudi authorities.
The latest strike also raised concerns about further disruption to regional air travel as the Saudi-led coalition blamed Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis and promised a response.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said Washington was considering whether to join Saudi military action against the group, while international leaders condemned the attacks on civilian infrastructure.

The fresh projectile strike has added to the uncertainty surrounding the reopening of King Khalid International Airport. The Saudi-led coalition said the projectile hit Terminal 4 and caused a fire, while air defences intercepted another threat near the airport. Coalition spokesman Major General Turki al-Malki said they had “intercepted and destroyed a cruise missile” in the vicinity of the airport.

Aviation sources told AFP that airport operators had been informed that flights would remain suspended, while damage to radar and communications equipment and runway safety assessments added to the uncertainty.
