Mahesh BK (26) and Sujan BK (23), both residents of Siddhicharan Municipality-11, have been arrested on suspicion of setting fire to the Municipality park. They are currently in police custody, with the Okhaldhunga District Court granting a four-day remand for further investigation.
District Police Office Inspector Balistar Singh commented on the recent increase in forest fires in the district, stating that police have launched a search operation to identify and apprehend arsonists.
It’s important to note that this incident follows a tragic fire last Monday in Siddhicharan Municipality-10, where two individuals lost their lives in a house fire.
